Hockey tops LaSalle Again, Remains Unbeaten; Basketball Takes another Step

With yet another big game against the Mount coming up tonight (slated to be broadcast here at The Network), our skaters assured that they would enter the game unbeaten in league play by knocking off LaSalle last night at Thayer Arena, 3-2.  The Providence Journal's brief account of the game can be found here, and the slideshow can be found here.  Below is the Journal's scoring summary of the entire game.

Over in Smithfield, the basketball team knocked off the Sentinels 53-36.  William Tavares and Matt Duffy combined for 24 points, which included two 3-pointers from Tavares.  The Hawks had opened up a 30-14 lead by halftime and never looked back.

The JV also managed to bring back a W from Smithfield, 60-50.

Don't forget - the home game against LaSalle this Monday night, January 28th, is scheduled to be broadcast right here at The Network.  Pass the word, especially should any of the players have family who live out-of-state and wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to watch a game live.
