BHHS T&F/XC Soars at the #manchesterxc Invitational

Our varsity, JV, and freshman runners scored impressive individual and team wins at the Manchester Invitational this past Saturday.  The varsity finished second to Darien, CT by six points.  It was close throughout the meet, and Coach Brennan feels that the next time his runners compete against them that our runners can beat them. The Hawks' individual varsity results were as follows:

  1. Colin Tierney 15:38
15. Michael Potter 16:22
21. Avery Ingegneri 16:39
22. Grant Gauthier 16:40
29. Dom Parlato 16:49
48. Tom McMahon 17:11
83. Jack Rossi 17:49

Our JV runners were equally as awesome, as they won it with a team score of 26 in a 44 team field and 326 runners.   The individual JV results -

1. Tom Grizzetti 16:57
2. Collin Manning 17:21
4. Jared Boulanger 17:25
6. Caleb George 17:29
14. Matt Wilks 17:46
16. Chris Ferreira 17:49
17. Michael Kiernan 17:59

The little guys, the freshman, were also a nice surprise. After finishing fourth at the RI Injury Fund, it is clear that they're now beginning to figure it out, as they won at Manchester with the  second fastest Hendricken team average.  Their individual results -

 6. Jeff Venter 11:46
12. Anthony Lanni 11:58
29. Stephen Treml 12:29
31. Russell Hadfield 12:31
39. Michael Shaw 12:40
42. Max Waite 12:45
49. Josh Clift 12:49

Throughout the course of the day's events, Coach Brennan tweeted updates and results along with pictures and and interview with all-round 1st-place finisher, senior Colin Tierney.
