Hawks Go to 2-0 in Romp over East Providence

So far, so good.

Well, for the football team, anyway...we at The Network had some considerable technical difficulties in the booth last night that precluded us from broadcasting the game.  No matter.  We'll soldier on.

The Hawks remained perfect in the early season schedule, moving to 2-0 in Division I competition (3-0 overall) by routing the East Providence Townies, 38-7.  EP is traditionally one of the stronger football programs in Rhode Island, and the Hawks treated them as such, even though by all indications the Townies may suffer through a down year.

Four different Hawks - Remy Blue, Power Kanga, Terrance Gibbs, and Lee Moses - found paydirt in the end zone: Blue scored twice (rushes of three and 40 yards, which now give him seven TD's for the season), and Kanga, Gibbs, and Moses found their way in once each.  For Gibbs, it was his first varsity TD.  Lee Moses sscored early in the first quarter on a beautifully-executed screen play that resulted in a 63-yard score.

Next up for our guys is the Tolman Tigers,  next Friday night, October 4th, 7pm, at Pariseau Field in Pawtucket.  Let's "travel well", as the saying goes, and continue to support the Quest for 4.

The Network will be there.
