Tonight, our basketball team goes on the road to a neutral court to take on a very good North Kingston squad in round 2 of the state playoffs. North Kingstown enters the tournament having earned a bye in the first round as a result of a spectacular season. The Skippers finished 16-2 in the league and 21-2 overall, good for the #2 seed in the playoffs behind LaSalle Academy. The Hawks finished 9-9 in league action and came into the tournament as the #7 seed; as a result, they were forced to go up against Cranston East in the preliminary first round, which they won handily, 48-23, a game broadcast live right here on The Network. Tonight's game will also be broadcast live, but as we will be unable to utilize our standard equipment, the quality may not be as good. There will also be no play-by-play, and commentary will be limited. In any event, if you're unable to attend the game in person and want to follow the action LIVE, The Network will be the place to be. The Providence Journal will also be running a live chat from the game.
