Our basketball squad's late-season emergence into a tough, cohesive unit continued last night in the first round of the state playoffs at CCRI in Warwick, as they knocked off LaSalle, 59-54. Time and again the Hawks found ways to make the big plays and hit the key buckets when they needed to stem the Rams' attempts to swing the momentum to their side. Will Tavares, Kazre Cummings, and Will Parmlee combined for 47 of the teams's 59 points, as our guys took control of the latter part of the game.

The Hawks move on to play Hope in the second round, this Sunday at 6:30 at Providence College. Let's travel as well as we did last night and ususally do, and make as much noise as possible.
